Smashwords, the e-book retailer, has announced a distribution partnership with Canadian e-book publisher and retailer, Shortcovers. From the 18th November Smashword’s premium catalogue will be distributed through their online network of 189 countries. This deal is in line with recent distribution deals signed with Sony and Barnes & Noble.
Shortcovers are particularly strong in offering free e-reader applications for smart phone users, which has become a vastly growing download option for e-book customers.
For Smashwords authors and publishers, this agreement will make your books discoverable and purchaseable by millions of customers.
